Part 2 of our Wreck it Ralph birthday party….. Sugar Rush! This is where all the excitement happens! I wanted to recreate the race track finish line, as they will make their own candy karts.
Again we had a coordinating arcade banner at top replicating a scene from Sugar Rush
Our Sugar Rush Wreck it Ralph birthday party’s main focus was all the candy!
We had these fun hands filled with candy with our “why are your hands so freakishly big” tag! The kids loved playing rock paper scissors with these hands.
We had cupcakes decorated Vanellope style! Then topped them off with our cupcake toppers. We had sprinkles and crystalized sugar and swirls of chocolate frosting on top.
This first one is my favorite:) with the kart topper and just the messy goodness on top.
We had Nerds, Rees’s peanut butter cups, Smartie suckers, Strawberry rolls and chocolate covered Cherry in the “bleachers”. The signs are also in the party package- you can place any strawberry or cherry candy in it’s place.
Before we started eating dinner I had each kid select the style and color of kart they wanted to decorate so it would be ready and harden by the time we started decorating.
Once we started decorating their karts I couldn’t pull them away to do any other activity…. they were getting very detailed and loving this part! We watched the movie while decorated them.
This was the candy spread they had to construct and decorate their candy karts. They went crazy over the mini marshmallow icecream cones. I wanted plenty of options for the wheels so I had multiple circular candies like: donuts, mini Oreos, nutterbutters (both of these would also work for steering wheels) tootsie rolls of all different shapes- the long thin was were good for the wheel axis. The candy canes were good for that too. Additional goodies were starburst, wafer cookies and plenty of sprinkles!
This one was another little boy’s….. the boys loved to stack the waffers really tall
These were the girls…. Can’t you tell the difference
My niece came up with this little bow made out of the fruit roll and I love it so much!
Love this party! You did such an awesome job! Where did you get the "Freaksihly Big" candy hands and the gumball machine?
I got both of them at Toys R Us
Thanks! Did you get the rock, paper, scissor hands at Toys R Us as well?
I can't remember….. I think I got them at a grocery store locally here, but I have seen them since in other places. It was a great items as it doubled for entertainment and a sweet.
These are some of the best party ideas I have ever seen! Love this blog!

Thank you for your sweet comments…. made my day!
Adorable!!!
The details are just amazing (look at all that candy, so prettily presented)! But best of all is the "make your own race kart" activity…what a great idea!
Thank you! The kids just loved that part. One of them actually filled their kart with candy. It was also fun to have 2 kart body types to choose from, as they felt it was their own creation.
OH MY GOODNESS – This is AMAZING!

O'm so glad I could help you plan your Wreck it Ralph party! I love the idea of a gumball cake…. you have to share photos with me! lol
What did you use for the "glue" on the candy cars?
I used royal frosting for the "glue" so everything was completely editable.
Where did you get all of your paper sayings like the bigger one in the frame saying something about building your own race car, or "how did your hands get so freakishly big"? Please let me know!! Thank you!!
