I can’t believe it’s been over 2 years since I designed this Minecraft birthday party…. better later then never. I can’t wait to share some of my favorite Minecraft party decoration ideas and fun easy to make ahead treats. You can find all of the Minecraft printables I used in our shop
I wanted our party guests to feel like we created a Minecraft world, so everything in our party is squares of color. The table “cloth” and table top is 6″ blocks of cardstick paper in different shades of green and brown as you go deeper down. This was so easy to create. I just laid out all the squares and taped them together on the back.
I hung our printable Minecraft banner across the back and it’s included in our Minecraft birthday collection.
First we had 2″x 2″ clear boxes of block treats. Candy rocks for the cobblestone block, grey and blue M&M’s for the Diamond block and mini twizzlers for the TNT block. The kids loved theses and had so much fun playing with them. I loved that this was something I could do ahead of time and have ready for the party.
I also made blue jello in individual clear square cups for the water block. Plus we had rock candy diamond swords
Creeper push pops – Just fill with a mix of green jelly belly. So easy to make and they stood up on their own and then you can put a lid on them when your done so they don’t spill all over.
My favorite item was our cake! I just made a rectangle cake and then cut into squares. I stacked multiple layers cake to create height in the cake. Just add a few toy Minecraft figures and you can create any world you want! For the frosting I just used a star tip or you can just frost the cake in green frosting. The tip just gave it a finished look.
Minecraft drink wrappers available in our Minecraft printable collection here
favors filled with green apple taffy taffy as that is one of Buzzy’s favorite treats
I bought each of the kids a Minecraft box face and sword. They played forever with these!
Kit kat bar wrappers, as they are square and most kids like those more then hershey bars 🙂
I like to have many treats and items that you can do ahead of time, so your not stressed out on the day of. I had the candy bars, favors, block treats and drinks all ready. The jello was prepared the night before and the creepers jelly beans were pre mixed in a ziplock bag so all I had to do was fill them up the day of the party!
